We are the Grace and Peace Baptist Church of Mae Ai, Thailand, an independent Sovereign Grace Baptist Church. We are here to be a Gospel light in Thailand and to serve the Thai and Hill Tribes people. To do that we not only worship together, but also have an outreach to the villages. Our goal is to encourage and train the village pastors, to evangelize villages unreached by the Gospel, to provide Sunday School materials for children, and to help the needy. We also reach out to the local Thai community with the Gospel and have a children’s home for children in need. We love our wonderful God and are committed to showing His grace and peace to those around us.

- Please continue to pray for the upcoming Preachers’ Training, which will take place February 18-21.
- Pray also for the Bible Conference in April, both for the preachers and those attending.
- Lift up Sister Janet Roten, who is facing health challenges, and Brother Danny Roten, as he cares for his wife.
Home again!
I had a wonderful trip to America – spending time with my children and getting reacquainted with my grandchildren. But I’m happy to be back in Thailand now.
It has been an especially joyous time as we experienced a major answer to prayer. We have been able to carry on the work here that Paul began, except for the one outreach that was dearest to his heart. He loved the preachers and poured himself into their training. It was what brought us to Thailand and was his passion to the end.
Of course, I wasn’t able to carry that on myself. While our young leaders are growing in grace and
knowledge by leaps and bounds, they are still young and new to the ministry. We encountered several
roadblocks when we tried to arrange to continue the training, but in God’s perfect time, He removed every obstacle. We had Preachers’ Training this week!
Bro Nico Van Syl taught 37 eager pastors on the attributes of God. The pastors were responsive and
obviously happy to be here again.
Bro. Nico is from South Africa where he has been teaching native pastors for the past several years. He has felt the Lord calling him to Thailand to do the same type of work Paul has done. He is living in Chiang Rai, about two hours away from us, so was able to travel here without a lot of difficulty.
We also enjoyed having his wife, Roxanne, and his son Nicolas with us this week. They have been a great
blessing to us!
The future of Preachers’ Training? We don’t know. Perhaps the Lord will call a full -time teacher here. In the meantime, we appreciate the teaching Bro. Nico will be doing for the next several months. We also have others in view who are willing and able to teach these men for a time so the work will go on.
Another answer to prayer which is less important, but major to me personally, came about while I was in
America. The Bible story book/Sunday School curriculum I spent the last 50 years writing, editing, and
teaching is now published! The digital version is available for Kindle and a print version is also available
through Amazon.
I kept the price low so that it will be accessible to as many as possible. What profit the sales bring in will
go toward translating and printing the lessons to distribute to the LaHu pastors, along with pictures and
coloring pages, etc. for the Sunday school ministry in the villages.

I’m having a bit of trouble with jet lag as I adjust to my Thailand schedule, but I’m eager to get started on
the many exciting things ahead for us! I’ll be picking up English classes, Bible classes for children, and
many other projects in the coming weeks. What a privilege to serve Him here!

Dear beloved brothers and sisters in Christ,
We thank the Lord for His guidance in allowing many things to go according to plan. We trust that only God can bring our plans to fulfillment.
Earlier this month, Moses and I visited several churches to speak with parents who wished for their children to be under our care. We asked them many questions, but one answer remained the same for all of them. When we inquired about their main reason for making this decision, they responded with a shared desire—for their children to know God and receive salvation. This aligns perfectly with our mission. Our greatest hope is that, after coming to know Christ, these children will one day return to their communities and share
the Gospel, so that many more may come to salvation. We humbly ask for your prayers for
this ministry. May God lead the right children into our care according to His perfect will.
Moreover, we are deeply grateful to God for the January Preachers’ Training. More pastors and preachers attended than we had expected. Throughout the past year, many people asked when we would hold the next Preachers’ Training. Our answer remained the same—pray and wait. And that is exactly what we did. We prayed, we planned, and now, in His perfect timing, God has answered our prayers and brought these plans to fulfillment. By His grace, we were able to hold the training from January 28 31, with nearly 40 participants. We are especially thankful for Brother Nico Van Syl, who faithfully served as our teacher. Please keep him and his ministry in Thailand in your prayers. Above all, we ask that you continue to pray for us, as this is our greatest need. Our hope is that the Preachers’ Training will continue every month throughout this year, so that more workers may be equipped for God’s kingdom.
We would also like to thank God as we prepare to hold a Bible Conference this April. Last year, we had planned to host this event, but as many of you know, Bro. Paul Brown was called home to be with the Lord, and our plans did not unfold as expected. Yet, I firmly believe this was according to God’s perfect will. If it pleases the Lord, the Bible Conference will take place this April, and we anticipate more than a thousand participants. Please pray that this ministry will bear fruit and bring many lost souls back to God.
Lastly, we want to give thanks to God for all who support this ministry, enabling the work of the Lord to continue here. I want to encourage you that your support is bearing fruit, and if it is the Lord’s will, it will produce far greater results than we can imagine. Therefore, we ask that you continue to pray for and support this ministry, so that God’s glory may be proclaimed forever.
